IV Therapy & Intramuscular Injections in Vancouver

Persistent fatigue, burnout, mood instability, or hormonal imbalances often point to one underlying issue: your body isn’t absorbing the nutrients it needs. IV therapy in Vancouver delivers vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for absorption that oral supplements can’t replicate. Intramuscular (IM) injections offer the same advantage in a faster, targeted format, ideal for correcting deficiencies like low B12 or vitamin D.

As a naturopathic doctor, every protocol I recommend is guided by your labs, health history, and goals, not a pre-set drip menu. Whether you’re recovering from burnout, supporting your immune system, or addressing nutrient malabsorption, this is root-cause IV therapy built around you.

IV therapy, or intravenous nutrient therapy, delivers vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream for rapid absorption and immediate effects – something oral supplements can’t reliably achieve. Intramuscular (IM) injections work on the same principle: nutrients are injected into the muscle and absorbed without passing through the digestive system, making them a go-to option for correcting deficiencies like low B12 or vitamin D. Because both IV and IM therapies bypass the GI tract entirely, they’re especially effective for anyone dealing with GI dysfunction, malabsorption, or poor nutrient uptake.

IV therapy supports a wide range of health goals from boosting energy and improving hydration to post-surgery recovery, immune support, and replenishing depleted vitamin and mineral levels. It’s a practical option for busy professionals, students, and anyone recovering from illness or burnout.

Whether you’re looking to address a specific deficiency, recover from travel or illness, or feel more energized and resilient, naturopathic IV therapy offers a safe, evidence-informed, and personalized approach tailored to your body’s needs.

Who Is IV Therapy and IM Injections Best Suited For?

Naturopathic IV therapy is particularly well-suited for people whose symptoms aren’t fully explained by standard bloodwork or whose levels fall within “normal” ranges but still feel far from well. Common presentations I see in practice include burnout and chronic fatigue that don’t resolve with rest, mood dysregulation or anxiety linked to nutrient depletion, brain fog, and low energy associated with ADHD or hormonal shifts, and perimenopause or PMDD symptoms worsened by poor absorption of key vitamins and minerals. IM injections are often a practical starting point for those with confirmed deficiencies in B12 or vitamin D, or for patients who want targeted support between IV sessions. If you’re unsure whether IV or IM therapy is appropriate for your situation, that’s something we can assess together during a naturopathic consultation – before any treatment is recommended.

FAQ’s

Like Naturopathic medicine, IV’s can be covered under insurance but the amounts differ by company and policy. Check with your provider to see if your benefits would cover this service.

It is important to eat a meal, hydrate before getting an IV. Iron and high dose vitamin C IV’s require specific lab work to be done before the visit.

Usually 45 mins to an hour, some IV’s such as iron, NAD+, or high dose vitamin C will take longer than this.

Frequency depends on your health goals. Some patients come weekly or bi-monthly for energy and wellness support, while others schedule treatments every few months or seasonally. In your initial appointment we can create a personalized IV therapy plan based on your goals.

IV therapy may help with fatigue, migraines, dehydration, jet lag, nutrient deficiencies, stress, athletic recovery, and immune support. Many Vancouver patients also use IV therapy to complement other naturopathic treatments.

Side effects are uncommon and usually mild, such as temporary bruising at the injection site or slight fatigue afterward. I will ensure IV therapy is safe for you based on your health history.
